National Honor Society
The National Honor Society (NHS) is an organization which recognizes individual students who meet their criteria. If you meet the criteria, you will be invited to apply for membership.
Criteria for membership:
Selection for membership in the NHS is made by a majority vote of the Faculty Council, with recommendations from Faculty.
In March a letter of invitation is sent to the Sophomores who are considered for candidacy. They proceed to fill out the application and if invited will be inducted in April.
NHS members generously volunteer their time and talents through a variety of activities at school and the community. Most notable is their dedication to the tutoring program here at our school that provides academic support to all our students.
The keystone symbolizes the high ideals of our society.
The flaming torch symbolizes our purpose: to bear forward the searching light of truth, to lead that others may follow in the light.
The colors Gold and Blue represent the golden sunlight and the clear blue sky above.
From whom much is given to, much is expected.
