STISD Parent Connection Autism Acceptance Event Flyer in English

Join us on Wednesday, April 16, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. for a South Texas ISD Parent Connection presentation - "Come Learn About Supports Available in our Communities for Individuals with Autism" by Maria Cordero, Regional Coordinator-Region 1 Partners Resource Network.

The presentation will be held in person at the South Texas ISD Learning Center (7001 E. Expressway 83, Mercedes, TX), as well as virtually via Zoom.

Delayed start time due to weather on March 28.

Due to the inclement weather and flooding across the RGV, South Texas ISD will have a delayed start on Friday, March 28.

  • All students will begin class at 10:00 a.m.
  • All campus staff will begin work at 9:45 a.m.
  • Central Office staff will begin work at 9:45 a.m.
  • All Operations staff will report as scheduled by their supervisors.

STISD will host its 2025 Tour STISD Spring Campus Showcases on April 5 and 12.

These free events are open to the public and are perfect opportunities for prospective students and families to tour the campuses, meet administrators, staff and students, and participate in family-friendly activities.

STISD invites district parents/guardians and others from the tri-county community to join us for a “South Texas ISD Parent Connection: Supporting Your Child’s Emotional Health” Spring 2025 Parent Session to be held from 5:30- 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 6. The session focused on “Depression, Mood Swings, and Low Self-Esteem: When to Be Concerned and How to Support Your Child” will be available in-person or virtually.
